Individual supervision sessions are a required and the primary form of supervision needed for licensure in Colorado. Individual supervision sessions entail meeting one-to-one with the clinical supervisor addressing professional development goals and progress, as well as the processing of internal dynamics which surface during the course of being a psychotherapy service provider. Supervision sessions aim to explore these processes to increase self-awareness and effectiveness as a clinician. Case conceptualization also occurs during individual supervision sessions with guidance provided to ensure best possible ethical care of a supervisee’s clients and clinical skill building.
Supervision sessions are available via telehealth and/or meeting in person at an office setting in Lafayette, Colorado.
Pathwise Counseling is not able to provide clients for a supervisee's clinical client contact hours required for credentialing.

Pathwise Counseling follows an Integrated Developmental Model of supervision to meet a supervisee's unique needs and learning style and adhering to the knowledge that clinicians have different points in their individual career development and different roles throughout these career milestones. Pathwise Counseling’s approach is to guide clinicians as they advance through different stages of professional development throughout their career in terms of skills/knowledge level, self-awareness and eventually becoming more independent from the supervision process with increased confidence and experience. Pathwise Counseling encourages growth toward a collaborative supervision style from a student-teacher style that enhances self-awareness and self-direction.
Evaluation is a critical part of the learning process in clinical supervision and focuses on progress made on a supervisee’s professional development plan goals and assessment of core skill & competency areas as defined by licensure boards. Evaluation of the supervisor’s effectiveness in providing clinical supervision services also occurs.
